Pumpkin Carving

Cameron was very excited about carving the pumpkin this year. He got to help and was thrilled about that.

He wasn't so sure about the "goopies" though.

At times he seemed more interested in the carving utensils.

Very serious.

Sick.......

I think I've got strep throat NOW! Headed back to the doctor in the morning to see what the heck is going on.

Hoping we are all better by Halloween! We don't want to be sick for our Halloween party.

Flu

So far Cameron and I have had the swine flu..... and it has not been fun! Hoping Drew does not come down with it, but like Dr. Dixon put it "the horse is already out of the barn."

Cameron has been the sweetest boy ever taking care of me. Every once and awhile he will check my face and head for the fever and has offered for turtle to sleep with me. He has also offered his comfy blankie for me to use as well.

It's g0ing to be a LONG winter.

Burts Pumpkin Patch

Last Sunday we went to Burts Pumpkin Patch to pick pumpkins. Cameron had been fighting an ear infection, but we had been held hostage in the house long enough so we packed up and headed out. It turned out to be the best day. The weather was beautiful and Cameron had so much fun. I'm so glad we went because we have had rain ever since. First we had a picnic at Amicola Falls. Cameron played and played. He could have probably stayed here all day. He loved climbing the trees and playing on the rocks.

He loved checking out this tree! Cameron is very much of an outdoors boy. He loves to be outside and collect rocks and sticks. We can't wait to take him camping. I have great memories of camping with my family as a kid and Drew and I can't wait to do the same with him.

It is so beautiful and peaceful here. I can't wait to take him back.

Cameron loved the wind in his face.
Daddy drive faster!
What a big boy!

He was so into picking the right pumpkins. It had to be just right.
He was so proud of his choice!

Look at his face... Complete joy! Not a care in the world.

Waiting for the tractor to come and take us on the hayride.

It's here!

Fields of pumpkins.
It was the best day!
Cameron talked about it for days. He's really gotten to a great age where it's all about making memories.

Out of town

I'm NOT looking forward to Drew leaving town for 4 days. Cameron is seriously testing my patience lately. Not listening, back talking....

He had a major freak out tonight because I flushed the toilet for him before he could flush it. Oh my goodness.... you would have thought it was the end of the world. Seriously.... Lord give me lots of patience. I don't know what has happened to my patience lately. I have NONE. I better get back on track with the acupuncture!

Below video

Below is another video from preschool. Enter jacarland@comcast.net - then george to view the video.

It's actually a very cute one. Cameron and Ruby are directly in front of the camera. Cameron is playing with Ruby's hair the entire song. I don't even think he was singing the song. Ruby was a champ about not getting irritated with him. Those two really are buddies!

Playdate at Ruby's house

Last Saturday we went over to Ruby's house for a playdate. Jack was also there for this amazing playdate. Jack and Ruby are buddies of Cameron's from preschool. They were all in the same class last year. Ruby and Cameron are in the 3's class together going 4 days a week, but we are missing Jack so we are trying hard to have playdates together outside of school. These three get along so well and actually seem to really like playing with eachother. Their mommy's like getting together too! It is so much fun to watch these three play and interact.
Aren't they so cute!! Cameron calls Ruby his sister.
Having a picnic.
Oh, and we had a visitor. Swanson. Ruby and her family live on 2 acres with 2 lakes. Their property and home are absolutely beautiful! Swanson apparently lost his/her mate about two years ago. So they think he/she is lonely and comes around a lot. The McCoy's feed him/her - Swanson got some goldfish and cracked corn while we were there. At first, Stephanie and I freaked out because out of no where this white thing just walked around the corner of the house like it was nothing. It was the funniest thing. The kids also like picking from the vegetable garden. Cameron enjoyed some cherry tomatoes while Ruby enjoyed a red pepper. Haha!

Jack and Cameron swinging together.

Swanson!
What a fun playdate!
