32 weeks

Disregard my face in this picture. Or maybe you shouldn't....it speaks volumes of how I am feeling lately. The other day Cameron called me a "giant". I said thanks bud! I explained that once the babies come out of me I will be small again (or at least I am hoping :-) ) He definitely knows its temporary because he told my mom that I was going to be small soon.
The boys are definitely getting bigger. They are kicking me all over the place. I can now feel them up in my ribs and my rib is aching again.
I'm just counting down the weeks at this point and trying to stay positive.

Excited!

Today I asked Cameron if he was excited. He said, yes. I said what are you excited about and he said, about my birthday party (which is tomorrow) and my babies coming.

I cannot even begin to tell you how that made me feel. Relief and joy at the same time. We've had a rough week this week. I don't know if it is the fact that I am frustrated because I can't move around and he is also frustrated because I can't do for him like I have in the past. He may be picking up on my frustration. Also, there has been a lot going on in this house since he got out of school. Carter and Christian's room is basically done other than a few little things. Also, I have noticed that he just wants to cuddle and hug on me and because I am so large he can't get close enough, so I think that is playing a big part in this too. He wants to feel secure - I'm trying really hard to keep my cool and I keep telling myself that I will not be a "giant" (as he called me the other day) for much longer.

Just to know that he is excited makes me feel so much better. Also, helps that Daddy took the day off today too.

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone!

Andrew's 40th Birthday!

This year was Drew's 40th birthday! I had something big planned and every time I turned around it got scaled back. Once we found out we were having twins, I figured there was no way I could do the big party that I had wanted to. So we just had a simple cookout at our house with family.

Cameron and I surprised him with a bike. Now they can bike ride together. So far Cameron is loving having someone to ride with him.
I figured this would be some special time that Cameron and Daddy could have together while the twins are taking up my time. :-) Happily so.... as my friend Steph says about her twins. :-)

Yard Work! Spring 2010

This spring we did a lot of cutting our bushes back and Cameron was right in there with Daddy helping. He loves to help and do whatever Daddy is doing.

I actually sat back and watched or supervised as my Dad likes to say. It actually killed me to have to sit there. I would have been right there with them if I could.
Don't ya love the muscle shirt! Haha!

End of the Year Party - May 2010 3's Class

Cameron and his teachers Mrs. Lafalce and Mrs. Best. Oh, how we already miss them this summer. Cameron is missing school and it's the only second week of summer. He asks every day if he is going to school.

This year was a really special year for Cameron. He had two GREAT teachers and he changed so much, for the good. He felt secure in his class because he had two great ladies teaching and looking out for him. Honestly, I cannot say enough about how much I love these ladies. As you can see from the smile on his face, he loved school this past year.

End of the year party was a Luau theme.

I have learned boys ALWAYS play and when they play sometimes it's rough.
Cameron and Sean once again rolling around on the floor.
What a great year it was. Cameron met some new friends and so did I. We will miss Mrs. Best as she is moving this summer. We wish her family lots of luck. We are hoping and praying that Cameron gets Mrs. Lafalce again as a teacher next year. She is moving up to the 4's class. YEAH!!!

Mother's Day 2010

Cameron got a hold of the camera. He actually did pretty good...

Me and my Dad. Not the best pic., but for a 3 yr old he did pretty good taking it.

Hamming it up.....

Notice the red pen in his pocket. He had to have one in the pocket of his shirt, just like Daddy does every day for work.

Baby Celebration - May 8, 2010

My dear friends Stephanie and Renee threw me a "baby celebration" Mother's Day weekend. It was so special and simple. We just ate and chatted most of the time. It was so nice to just sit back and be with friends and family and enjoy the evening. Thanks ladies, I love you all. Opening a few gifts. :-)
My friend, Stephanie Myers , helping me with those big boxes of wipes. :-)
Mom and me.

My friend Renee and my cousin Glenda.
My friend Stephanie was taking the pictures.
My neighbors and close friends Bonnie and Jen.
It was tons of fun. Unfortunately, we didn't get too many pictures. I think we were all just too busy chatting and relaxing. We had no kids pulling at us for a evening...

Preschool Spring Festival - May 7, 2010

What a fast school year this has been and I assume each year will speed up even more for us once Carter and Christian arrive.

Every year the Spring Festival is a week before the kids get out of school. A time for all parents and grandparents to come and see what the kids have done and learned all year. The Great Hall is decorated with tons of art work from each class. A book fair is set up with refreshments. Cameron was already telling me about the food they were going to have and the books. He was so excited to shop for books with me. He LOVES books and any time he can get his hands on a new book, he loves it. So when it come to books, I don't complain.

A little art work from his class.

What a big boy walking down the aisle with no problem.

The pictures of them on stage were hard to get. Trying to get any closer was hard for me and you know, my big belly! (Daddy was out of town at a sales training meeting, so he missed the festival.) That's Cameron to the left of the picture next to the little girl with the long brown hair.

After the festival on our way to lunch. Nana and Grandaddy came too.
Cameron and his sweetie pie Ruby! Too cute! At the end of the year party, Mrs. L. was telling us all kinds of stories about how these two are attached at the hip and totally look out for each other. Ruby has been known to arrive in class in the morning, walk over to Cameron, kiss him on the head and say good morning. How sweet! I hate that they will not be in the same class together next year. Cameron is going 5 days a week and Ruby is going 4.

More time... saw the specialist today

We saw the specialist today and it was a good appt. My cervix (which I know is probably TMI) is holding strong and I will not go on my own any time soon. When I say going on my own, I mean water breaking. He did say though to be keeping track of my contractions because they could put me into preterm labor. He said if that were to happen that he would try to stop labor with draining some of the fluid from Christian to get both of them a little more time inside. Draining the fluid would a band aid of sorts, but it would at least get us a week or two and at this point they could use another week or so. He also said (which I was very excited to hear) that he would recommend to my Ob that we do the c-section at 35 weeks. Yea!! Which would be 4 weeks away. I feel much better about 4 weeks than 1 or 2. Most likely at 35 weeks they would come home with us, if they were to arrive in a week or two they will not come home with us. I just keep praying for our boys!

I have tons of updates to do to the blog with pictures. Hope to get to that soon!

31 week Appt with OB

I saw my favorite doctor today, Dr. Dyar. He said some things today that I was not expecting. First, I am measuring as if I were 48 weeks. That is just crazy! He said, I am measuring so large because of the fluid and they are big babies. He said, that at this point if I were to go into labor on my own they would not stop it. He said, that there is a good chance Carter and Christian could come in a week or two. That's not what I was expecting to hear either and I immediately went into panic mode. He also said that he would be surprised if I were not contracting at this point - which I am having major contractions. More intense and lasting longer especially at night. We will know more tomorrow when I see the specialist.

Also, I am so swollen that he ordered me to bed with my feet above my heart. He said I am to do nothing. Yea, easier said than done with a 4 yr. old at home.

I am getting concerned about Cameron. He hears everything we are talking about and I think he might be getting a little scared. I forget that we have a very bright almost 4 year old on our hands who picks up on everything and has very sensitive emotions. I think he is worried about me and scared.

At this point, I am praying for strength for our family and healthy baby boys. Please keep us in your prayers.

I will update tomorrow after tomorrow's appt.

30 Weeks

30 weeks! Yes! I never thought we would get this close. I am coming in on the final stretch, which is the hardest, but at least it's not forever. Trying to stay positive even though my feet are as big as elephant feet. :-) Cameron actually took a picture of them, but I won't share. Haha!

29 Week Appts.

Yesterday, I saw the pernitalogist. Carter and Christian both are growing and developing very nicely. Although, Christian's (baby B) fluid has increased. Again, Dr. Allen could see how uncomfortable I am and discussed the option of draining the fluid if I just can't take it and we discussed the risks. I said, if the babies are not at harm, I do not want to put them at risk for preterm labor or problems with the placentas. I said, I put up with this with Cameron and I will do my best to continue putting up with the discomfort with these guys too. I'm still having contractions, but not too much to be too concerned with. The contractions are just very bothersome to me - waking me up at night, etc.

Today, I saw my Ob and he said that I was doing great, but acknowledged that he knew I was miserable. He could tell by the size of my feet. He did not believe that we will make it to my scheduled c-section of July 12th (38 weeks). I asked him if he could give me any indication as to when he thought. He said 37 weeks - maybe 36 weeks. The main thing is making sure the boys lungs are developed enough before taking them too early. Dr. Allen said that we could do an amnio to find out their lung development before they decide how early to take them.

Their weight.... are you ready for this?? Carter (baby A) is weighing 3 lbs 2 ounces which is average (2 weeks ago he was weighing 2.5). Christian (baby B) is weighing 3 lbs 15 ounces which is above average (2 weeks ago he was weighing 2.14). Whew wee!! Dr. Dyar said, you make em big!

I see both doctors back in 2 weeks. My Ob said this next appt. will be my last 2 week appt. and that I would be seeing him much more frequently. I asked, like every week.? He said, more like a couple times each week.

I will keep you posted.

We have a big day for Cameron tomorrow. He has his Spring Festival at Preschool. So I am sure I will have pics to post.
