Blog Tip

If you click on any picture within the blog, you can see it up close and much larger. When you want to close out of the large picture just hit the back button. (A friend of mine, gave me this tip on her blog. I thought it would help to see the pictures up close. I'm still working on fine tuning our blog. )

Beach Trip

Our family trip to the beach this year was great. We stayed at Uncle Chuck's rental house on Seacrest Beach, Fl. Everyone was able to make it - Nana, Grandaddy, Uncle Chuck, Uncle Mark, Aunt Jackie, Kaitlyn & Caroline. We had a absolute blast. The weather turned out to be beautiful. We spent a good amount of time at the beach and the pool. Jackie, mom and I actually got to get out and do some shopping on Mother's Day too! The kids really had a good time playing together in the sand and at the pool.
Ahhh.... it was so nice to get away and relax.
The last day Caroline and Cameron passed out at 5:00 p.m. and slept until the next morning. They were wiped out!

Uncle Drew went out to find mommy a Starbucks and came back with donuts. Notice the white powder sugar on Cameron's mouth.

Cameron and Kaitlyn chillin with a snack.

Uncle Mark and Cameron. He loves to monkey around with Uncle Mark - not to mention Uncle Mark eggs him on.

Cameron and Caroline.
Grandaddy was able to get Cameron to look at the camera by putting his tongue out and making funny noises, unfortunately I wasn't able to get a picture without Cameron putting his tongue out the rest of the weekend.

Preschool Spring Festival

Cameron finished his first year of preschool. First of all, I can't believe how fast the year went by. At first when he started preschool he observed more and took it all in. Even though I don't like to use the word shy and label, he was definitely on the shy side. You would never know it now though. By the end of the year, he was loving school and very much participating. He's only been out for a week and I think he is already missing his buddies and teachers.

The Festival was an end of the year SongFest. All the children got up and sang songs by their age group. Cameron did very well, considering at the Christmas Songfest (with many less eyes watching them) he was so stressed out by standing up in front of people he was tugging at his hair or shirt the whole time.

We were very proud to see him walking down the middle of the isle with all the other children. It was bitter sweet.... He's definitely becoming a big boy!

It was very hard to get good pictures and video at the same time. So our pictures are not as good as the video.

Cameron is in the middle with his hand above his head next to the little girl on the left who does not have her hands above her head.

Falling.....

I have to post this before I forget.

Cameron is coming out with all kinds of sweet and funny phrases these days that I wish I could keep track of them all.

Last night after Cameron's bath and before stories and bedtime I fell down the stairs. I turned around to look at the clock in our bedroom and my foot went right out from under me and yes, I went falling down the stairs. At the time, I was freaking out thinking I had really hurt myself. Andrew and Cameron came running. Cameron says to me, "Mommy you cry. Don't cry. You need a band aid." It was so sweet how concerned he was that it made me feel all better, especially after he kissed my hand that I thought I sprained. Haha!

I have so much to post from our wonderful family trip to the beach and Cameron's Spring Festival at preschool. Stay tuned... hopefully I can get on top of blogging. :-)

Melting my Heart

Tonight I was lying in Cameron's bed with him while he tried to settle down and go to sleep. He was talking about his day and his buddies that he played with outside this evening before dinner. He was talking about baby monkey Jonathan and baby monkey Zack and Ava. (Everyone is a monkey these days.) All of the sudden he turns to me and says, "mommy you are my best friend". Awwww..... What a sweet boy!

Biking

Cameron is getting really good at riding his tricycle. He loves to ride (his words).

Making Music

We had some friends over for a cook out and an Easter Egg Hunt. Here are a couple video clips of the kids making their own music and dancing. Mr. Jeff is directing, Cameron and Ava are dancing, Zack is playing the recorder, Jonathan is playing the trumpet and Renee is on the drums. Zack got a little dancing in there too. What a group!!
