Reading Big Brother Books the Night Before Brother's Arrive!

Cameron loves reading about being a big brother - especially this week! We've had a lot of good cuddle time the last couple weeks. I love this boy more than words could ever describe and I know that my heart is about to grow even bigger.

A close friend of mine, put it well. You think you don't have enough love in your heart, but your heart just grows bigger (mother of 3). I can't wait for my heart to grow!

Ready and Waiting!

Carter and Christian's room is ready and waiting for them.
Praying for healthy boys!

Now this is a site!

Three seats in our van. Good thing we bought a van when we did.
The baby carriers are in the van ready to go. Cameron also got a new BIG BOY seat and has the whole back row to himself!

Cameron's 4th B-Day Party

This year we had Cameron's birthday party at Southern Prep gym and boy did the kids have a blast. His theme was Spiderman. We have graduated to all the superheros.

Cameron's favorite was the foam pit.

Happy Birthday to you!!
Make a wish!
These boys laughed and laughed. What fun they had!
I'm FOUR!
Boys will be boys!

Kaitlyn and Caroline! Cameron's cousins.
Family photo!

After his party at the gym Cameron and his family headed back to our house for opening presents and pizza.

Thanks cousins for my gifts!

Hockey stick from Sean!

New jeep from Nana and Grandaddy! He loves this thing. He asks to ride it every day and when he sees a jeep on the road he says "hey I have one too".

He loves it as you can tell from the excitement on his face.
I can't believe my boy is 4 years old! What a fun day it was. Thanks to our family and friends who made it so wonderful.

C-Section Date!!

I got a call from the nurse at my Ob's office today and they have scheduled my c-section for next Thurs., June 17th at 12:00. I have to be there at 10:00 and then have pre-op appointments the day before. Thank goodness! I really didn't think I could make it until the 21st. Packing my bag... wow that makes it real. I have to say, I am very nervous. I have a lot of thoughts going through my head - like are they going to be okay, will we experience NICU, how big are they, what do they look like, how much hair do they have, will we be able to tell them apart, how will I cope, how will Cameron cope. All kinds of stuff! The list goes on and on. I am trying very hard to rely on the Lord and ask for strength every day.

Cameron is testing the waters these days and maybe in a way taking advantage of the fact that I can't do anything. Or maybe he is just plain stir crazy. Who knows, but I am also praying for patience, because lately I have known and I am trying so hard to keep my cool.

I still see my OB tomorrow, but for tonight it's going to be an early one for me. Have a good one everyone.

34 Week Appt. with Specialist

I saw the specialist today and the babies once again look great. They did not measure them since they just measured them last week. Dr. Allen saw a big difference in how I looked today compared to last week. The swelling is worse and he said my belly is even bigger. He could tell from the ultrasound that there is more fluid on Christian. He does not want to wait until June 21st to do the c-section. He wants to move it up to more like the middle to end of next week. YIKES! He said, at this point he would not be surprised if I went on my own at any time. He also advised for Drew not to go on his business trip next week. He also could tell I was struggling so bad that he asked if I wanted him to put me in the hospital to have help and I said no because I didn't want to be away from Cameron that long.

I was a little surprised at what he had to say today, but not totally. I had just told my mom and Drew that I didn't think I would make it 12 more days. I can definitely tell these boys have dropped and things are starting to happen. Working on getting my bag packed tonight. You would think I would already have that done, but maybe I have been in denial.... who knows. I see my OB on Friday and I will know more then as far as a date for the c-section.

Please keep my boys in your prayers. And stay tuned! :-)

33.5 Week Appts.

We saw the specialist today. Christian (baby b) with the high fluid is measuring at 6 lbs 1 ounce and Carter (baby a) is measuring 4 lbs 11 ounces. The average for 33 weeks is 4 lbs. Dr. Allen said both babies look great, but that the fluid on Christian has increased and he is now calling it severe. We have decided on a date for my c-section!! June 21st which would be 36 weeks. He said, that is if I make it. There is still a high chance that I could go on my own because the fluid is so high at this point. I think he is shocked that we have made it this far. I see both docs. next week.

The ultrasound pictures were a little easier to see today. In the last few appts. it has been hard to see them clearly because of all the fluid and one baby causes a shadow on the other. But we did see that they have hair! No wonder I have heartburn so incredibly bad!

I will keep updating as we know more next week, but for me now knowing that we have a date is so much relief. Everything is ready for the babies, but a few things like the bases to their carriers in the car and washing a few more things. Home stretch here we come..... ready or not! Haha! :-)
